The artist of the iconic 1982 artwork Wheat Field - a Confrontation paid homage to her work during the latest edition of art fair Art Basel. In front of the fair building, she planted a field of wheat in May, which grew over the summer and was harvested in August. The wheat was distributed free of charge to local bakeries and food banks. Where the original artwork took on the financial world - the field was located near Wall Street on Manhattan and the wheat was traded there - it now addresses the art world, which is certainly also under the influence of the globalized financial system.
