Gerry Schum
Land art and new media had a close partnership from the beginning. Because many artworks were in remote locations, it was clever to make films and photographs of them, which could be shown at exhibitions at the center of art. German Gerry Schum even created a television exhibition. He was in the right place in the network of emerging land art artists and so has televised early works by a fine array of big names, such as this film by Barry Flanagan.
